Student Volunteer Week
1st - 7th April 2019
A big THANK YOU to all our volunteers especially our young volunteers who give up their time to help others here at the Devonport Community House.
You're all Super Stars!
We are fortunate to have brilliant volunteers who assist us in all manner of things from running activities to gardening and driving the van.
If you have a skill you would like to share with the community, we would also love to hear from you.
If you have some spare time on your hands we currently have some volunteer roles that may be of interest to you such as:
To weed and look after the gardens around the House to keep them looking good.
A garden bag is already here so you just need to bring your own gloves and tools and you're ready to go!
Any day or time to suit you.
Bells and Whistles Playgroup co-ordinator
Set up and pack away the pre-school equipment as well as the tea, coffee and biscuits.
Wednesdays during term time, 9.30am to 11am.
Elderly Shoppers Van Driver
To help pick up and drop off our elderly shoppers from the Bayswater/Devonport area.
Some elderly may also require some help with their shopping.
You will need to have a current clean drivers Licence and be over 25 years old.
Wednesdays, 10.00am to around 12 noon.
Do you need to complete service within the community for awards such as the Duke of Edinburgh?
If so, we'd love to hear from you as we always need help with our after school club programmes playing games, reading books, helping with art projects, preparing afternoon tea, etc
